Chi Alpha Internationals (XAi)
International Logo
In 1981, twenty-eight years after its inception, Chi Alpha Campus Ministries, U.S.A. committed itself to welcoming international students studying on the college campuses across our country. Through many years of ministry to internationals, this special sub-group of Chi Alpha students became known affectionately as Chi Alpha Internationals (XAi). In 2015, the need for a distinct brand for XAi was apparent to national staff and I was asked to design a logo to represent the diversity of students involved.

Social Media Applications
Among the many applications, a primary use of the new XAi logo has been in social media. Both Chi Alpha Campus Ministries, U.S.A. and Chi Alpha Internationals maintain social media accounts and post often updates and news related to XAi activity. These posts often include the logo in various color combinations based on the overall design of the graphic. The logo had to be extremely versatile to meet all the needs of national Chi Alpha!

Apparel Applications
In addition to social media, another recurrent application of the logo was apparel design. College students love t-shirts! And the XAi logo is often front and center in apparel designs! Again, versatility was key. Apparel designs are updated roughly every year with widely varying fabric and ink choices available – the logo had to meet all the possible scenarios!
